High School Summer Science Program 2014

  • Application dead line is April 15, 2014
  • Each selected student will be provided Rs.5000 stipend after project completion
  • All the selected students will be given an opportunity to present their completed project in 3rd Annual Computational Science conference in Fall 2014
  • The 1st, 2nd and 3rd project winner student will be given Rs. 50,000, Rs. 25,000 and Rs. 15,000, respectively
  • The first Award winner’s mentor will be given Rs.50,000
  • Only HIGH School Students till grade 12 can apply
  • All the faculty members and Students have to apply separately
  • Selection process will be done by a dedicated committee

Best Student Presentation Awards

There is a competition for the best student presentation at the 2nd Computational Science Conference at IIU in Islamabad to recognize and to encourage excellence in graduate studies. Eligibility: The nominee must be a full time student . The student’s area of research may either be theoretical or experimental in any of the general technical and scientific areas normally presented as part of the 2nd Computational Science Conference. The student’s regularly submitted abstract must have been accepted for presentation through the normal abstract review process by the Conference Program Committee as an poster/oral presentation. Nature of Award: This award consists of a cash prize, shield and participation certificate. The names of all finalists competing for the award will be announced in the  Conference program book  and Abstract CD. The name of the winner will be published in the Program Booklet of the following Meeting. Selection Process: Each student presentation will be judged by three different referees and a final decision will be made by consensus of the judges. Each presentation will be evaluated by pre defined evaluation criteria. For example, quality of work, quality of slides/poster, presentation, novelty of work etc. Student Award Application Procedure: 1)      Students must submit a abstract to the 2nd Annual Computational Science Conference according to the standard submission guidelines and deadlines as outlined in the Call for Papers. 2)      Student should submit their abstract by the deadlines. No abstract will be accepted after the dead line. 3)      Applications MUST be submitted online via registration form 4)      All students must register at www.pscb.org.pk
